Break In Information Needed by LCSO

Published by admin under Uncategorized

The investigating officer for the recent break in/robbery in Hamlet B is requesting any information to assist them in solving this crime.  The time period in question is between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM on Thursday, March 4.  What may seem trivial to some may be very useful to the police. So please if you noticed anything that looked unfamiliar in Hamlet B during that time, please report it.  Many little pieces make up a puzzle.  You may email your information to Investigator Michael Roche at the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.   michael.roche@loudoun.gov

Break In / Neighborhood Watch

Published by admin under Uncategorized

Lenah Run is establishing a Neighborhood Watch, now one of a network of neighborhood watches coordinated by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).  And not a moment too soon.  Just last week, there was a break-in and robbery in our neighborhood.

The idea of a Neighborhood Watch is that we all are on the lookout for our neighbors, and we take steps to protect our own homes.  If you see suspicious activity, please call the LCSO non-emergency number:  703-777-1021.  The recent robbery happened during the day (when most break-ins occur, since burglars don’t want you to be home), so if we are all keeping an eye out, we might be able to prevent the next one.  Don’t hesitate to call:  Deputies are more than happy to investigate, and it’s better to call than not to call and have something awful happen.

Be sure to protect your own homes by turning on your alarms when you leave, locking your doors and keeping your garage doors closed, trimming the bushes near your house, keeping your property lit, etc. The idea is to make your home — and ultimately all of Lenah Run — less desirable for bad guys.

Our Neighborhood Watch is getting up and running, and you will soon see more helpful info on how to protect your homes and our neighborhood, as well as info on education programs put on by the LCSO, on LenahRun.net, and we will soon have Neighborhood Watch signs up at both of the entrances to the neighborhood.  In the meantime, if you have questions, please email lenahrunneighborhoodwatch@gmail.com.
