Low Water Pressure in Lenah - Email from Loudoun Water

Published by admin under Water System

Dear Customer Service Staff,

I recently received notification from our operator at Lenah Run that approximately half of the subdivision (hamlets C, D, and E) is experiencing reduced pressure as a result of high demand. The pressure is currently about 10 to 15 psi (pounds per square inch) lower than normal. This situation began around 6:45 AM and is currently continuing at 8 AM. We anticipate the pressure to increase as demand subsides within the next hour.

As customers receive their bills within the next few weeks and read about our campaign to conserve water and cut irrigation from three days per week to two, this would help the pressure situation in the future.

I have cc’ed the president of the Lenah Run HOA so that he is aware of the situation.

Getting some reports of low water pressure in Hamlet D

Published by admin under Water System

Some of the residents have called LCSA.

This was posted on the forum following a conversation with LCSA….”I did speak with LCSA today and they said that they did not have any specific reason (ie-broken pump, etc…) for the water pressure to be low other than water usage.”

Please be considerate of your water usage during the day, especially for watering lawns, as when the system gets low, the Hamlets in the back of the neighborhood experience either low water pressure or no water at all.  Thank you.
